How to avoid blockage in the scrap aluminum crusher during crushing

Source:Yuantong Heavy Machinery    Time:Oct 24, 2024      1

To avoid the blockage of scrap aluminum crusher during the crushing process, it is usually necessary to start from the following aspects for prevention and treatment:

Crusher screen low discharge

1. Control the feeding speed and uniformity

Maintain uniform feeding: Uneven feeding will cause unbalanced load of the crusher and easy blockage. Therefore, ensure that the amount of scrap aluminum is moderate, and do not put in a large amount at one time.

Avoid sudden increase in feed volume: The feed volume should be increased gradually, and a large amount of scrap aluminum cannot be poured into the crusher at one time. Using an automatic feeding device can help to achieve precise control of the feed volume.

Use a vibrating feeder: The feed volume can be automatically adjusted by the vibrating feeder to ensure that the aluminum material enters the crusher smoothly and evenly.

2. Properly adjust the crusher hammer and speed

Hammer maintenance and replacement: Hammer wear will reduce crushing efficiency and increase the possibility of blockage. Regularly check whether the hammer of the crusher is sharp, and replace it in time if it is worn.

Reasonable selection of crusher speed: For different types of scrap aluminum, it is particularly important to choose an appropriate speed. If the speed is too low, the material cannot be discharged in time, which will also cause blockage.

Increase the gap between the hammers: According to the hardness and size of the aluminum material, adjust the gap between the hammers appropriately to make it more suitable for the current aluminum material crushing.

3. Avoid the entry of oversized or irregular materials

Pre-processing materials: Pre-processing oversized scrap aluminum, such as shearing and cutting into smaller blocks before crushing, can reduce the risk of blockage. In particular, large or irregularly shaped materials are easy to get stuck inside the crusher, causing blockage.

Screening system: Before entering the crusher, set up a screening device to screen out materials that are too large or not suitable for direct crushing.

4. Regular inspection and maintenance

Check the lubrication system: All parts of the crusher should be kept in good lubrication, especially bearings and cutters. If the lubrication is insufficient, the operating resistance increases, which is easy to cause material accumulation and blockage.

Clean the equipment regularly: Clean the residue and accumulated scraps in the crusher to prevent the accumulation of scraps from causing blockage and affecting normal operation.

5. Improve the efficiency of the discharging system

Strengthen the discharging device: The scrap aluminum after crushing needs to be discharged quickly through the conveying device to avoid the scraps staying in the crushing chamber for too long. Ensure that the discharging system is unobstructed and regularly check the operating conditions of the conveyor belt, screw conveyor or vibrating conveyor.

Increase the discharging port: If the discharging port is too small, the material cannot be discharged in time and it is easy to cause blockage. The discharging efficiency can be improved by increasing the width of the discharging port.

6. Avoid excessive moisture in the material

Control the moisture content of the material: Overly wet scrap aluminum will increase viscosity and easily cause the material to adhere to the inner wall of the crusher, thereby causing blockage. It is recommended to dry the material before crushing or choose equipment suitable for wet material crushing.

7. Install an anti-blocking alarm device

Alarm system: A load monitoring and alarm system can be installed to monitor the working status of the crusher. Once a blockage risk is found, an alarm will be issued in advance to remind the operator to deal with it in time to avoid serious blockage.

In short, to avoid blockage of the scrap aluminum crusher during operation, it is mainly necessary to consider multiple aspects such as feeding, hammer adjustment, equipment maintenance and discharging system. Through regular maintenance, reasonable control of feeding speed, pretreatment of materials and keeping the hammer sharp, the occurrence of blockage can be effectively reduced. If used in conjunction with automated monitoring and alarm systems, production efficiency and safety can be further improved.
